How It All Works:
With so many suture manufactures and product codes it’s easy to get overwhelmed by it all. At Medstar Sutures we have chosen three manufactures which we feel represent a full range of suture options. These include: Ethicon, CP Medical, and Demetech.
Between the three manufacturers 2,591 codes are represented. Since all sutures have expiration dates, keeping them all in stock would be inefficient. While some customers order specific sutures every time, others order different codes each time. We depend on our customers to let us know which sutures to keep in stock based on ordering patterns.
While we do have a large inventory we must order direct much of the time. Each manufacturer has an inventory and production schedule. This means when we order from the manufacturer there are three options: It is in stock, it is in production, or it is backordered.
A backordered suture may take a week or nearly a month depending on their schedule. This is why it is important to let us know if your order is date sensitive. If an order is date sensitive we will contact the manufacturer to find out the estimated date the suture will ship out. If the date can not be met we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Replacement of Damaged or Defective Items:
We inspect and guarantee that all our products are of the highest quality at the time of shipment. Please notify Medstar Sutures within 24 hours of receiving your shipment if your order became damaged during the shipping process. Medstar Sutures will send a UPS Call Tag to pick up the damaged product. Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, we will inspect the item and send you a replacement. Refunds will not be issued for defective merchandise.
Returns and Exchanges:
Within 25 days of receiving your order, you may return or exchange most items for a credit or refund less a 20% restocking fee.
To avoid a restocking fee:
Product must be returned for store credit towards a future purchase of equal or greater value. Shipping charges do not qualify as a credit.
To exchange a product:
- To qualify for a refund, ALL items must be returned in their original condition, including the original packaging and containers. Do not mark or deface original manufacturer containers in any manner. We are unable to accept returns if packaging is opened, not in its original condition, damaged, or returned more than 25 days after delivery.
- Regrettably, we do not refund original shipping & handling charges unless an error occurred on our part when shipping your order. If your return is the result of our error Medstar Sutures will cover the shipping charges for your returned product.
- If you return an item that was eligible for the free shipping promotion, you will incur the original shipping charge.
- If any of the above conditions are not met, Medstar Sutures reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange.
- To return an item call or email Medstar Sutures and we will give you an RMA # with instructions on how to return the item.
- No returns of any type will be accepted without an RMA number.
- Please allow 3-4 business days for processing your return once we receive it.
- Please note that it may take up to 14 days to complete the entire return/refund process.
Absolutely No Returns will be accepted on the following items:
Canceling orders:
If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so before your item has been shipped. Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled.
Regulations:
The sale of the items on our website may be subject to strict regulation by the U.S. FDA, and state & local regulatory agencies. Do not order these items unless you are a licensed purchaser. In the event this item is regulated, Medstar Sutures will verify your status as a licensed purchaser of this item before shipping. It is our opinion that the items listed on our website are not restricted for purchase.
