Visorb Quick is a fast absorbing coated braided polyglycolic acid synthetic sterile surgical suture composed of a 100% polymer made from polyglycolic acid. When dyed, only FDA-approved color additives such as FD&C Violet No.2 are used. The un-dyed suture is milk white in color. Coated Visorb. Indicated for use in superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa, where only short-term wound support is required. Coated Visorb Quick suture is not intended for use in ligation, ophthalmic, cardiovascular or neurological procedures. Absorption of Visorb Quick sutures is essentially complete in 42 days. Sutures are available dyed or un-dyed and attached to stainless steel needles of varying types and sizes in one to three-dozen boxes, or non-needled on ligating reels. Available in various lengths in sizes: 6/0 to 1 (0.7 to 4.0 metric).
