CP-Fiber is a Polyblend, braided, non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of polyester and polyethylene braid. It is prepared from fibers of high molecular weight, long-chain linear polyester. CP-Fiber is 15 times stronger than steel on a weighted basis, 10 times the abrasion resistance compared to polyester, and 3 times stronger than polyester size for size. Indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.
Sutures are available in (USP) sizes 7-0 through 5 (metric sizes 0.5-7), un-dyed (white) or dyed (D&C Blue No. 6). Supplied is sterile in pre-cut lengths or ligating reels; both non-needled and affixed to various needle types; including removable needles; in one- to three-dozen boxes and ligating reels.
