Coated Visorb is a braided coated, synthetic absorbable suture, composed of Polyglycolic Acid (PGA) and is available both dyed and un-dyed (milk white in color). Visorb is coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. Indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation; including use in ophthalmic procedures, but not for use in cardiovascular and neurological procedures. Suture is braided and is available in USP sizes 6-0 through 3 (metric sizes 0.7-6). The suture is supplied sterile in precut lenths attached to various needle types in one- to three-dozen boxes, or non-needled on ligating reels.
